Expect DWI Checkpoints in Nassau County Labor Day Weekend

Drivers can anticipate sobriety checkpoints and stepped up patrols over Labor Day Weekend as New York, Nassau County and local police participate in the state’s STOP-DWI grant program, authorities said.
Nassau police’s highway patrol bureau is planning an “effective DWI saturation enforcement strategy,” that targets areas throughout the county, according to officials.
