We moved to Pine Street in Wantagh in Nov. '49, and thought we would go to the Sunrise Park School just 3 blocks away. No, no. We were in Wantagh postal district, Wantagh fire district, but Seaford School district! I was in 2nd grade, my sister Susan in kindergarten. We had to board "Nippy" Van Nostrand's bus 4 and go to the Jackson Ave school in Seaford. How is it that the Seaford ave school is in Wantagh fire district,and a branch of the WFD is in Seaford Harbor?
