Free Music On The Boardwalk Hits Jones Beach
Jones Beach Plays Host to free summer concert series produced by Echo Events.
Jones Beach is one of the biggest attractions on Long Island for both locals and tourist. It plays host to thousands of beach goers every day and is also the home of the Nikon Theater. However the music is not confined to just the theater at Jones Beach during the summer . The large venue also has a boardwalk bandshell which plays host to many concerts during the summer and is where local talent agency and event planners Echo Events hold’s its Free Summer Concert Series every Thursday during the summer.
This years free concert series kicked off with Artie Babz performing on July 2nd and since then the stage has hosted quite a few local acts . On July 16th local Long Island band Say It Say It (managed by Rising Star Music Network) headlined a show which included locals Taylor Belle, Dylan Ander and an up and coming band Flip Trick. By the time Say It Say It got to the stage almost everyone was on their feet interacting to the music. The Band even met with fans after the show.
The following week the show was even bigger with 6 acts including local singer / Guitarist Jordan Plantinga ( Managed by Rising Start Music Network as well) who performed some of his originals as well as an emotional cover of Shawn Mendes’s single Stitches. Another local who has gained attention across the country after appearing on American Idol Robbie Rosen appeared to sing some songs with some of his vocal students on the band shell stage . These acts would make way for the headliners The Como Brothers Band from Mount Sinai Ny whos EP is currently available on ITunes and will be released on August 10th.
