Girl Scouts of Nassau County Model Cookie Box Fashions at Roosevelt Field
Almost 100 Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently walked the runway at Roosevelt Field

Garden City, NY (February 12, 2016) – Almost 100 Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently walked the runway at Roosevelt Field during their first ever “Cookie Creations Cookie Box Fashion Show.” Theresa from Seaford was among models who wore a design created out of Thin Mints, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Samoas, Tagalongs, Savannah Smiles, Rah-Rah Raisin and Toffee-tastic boxes into wearable upcycled, fashion-forward apparel and accessories.
The event coincides with the Girl Scout Cookie® season, which launched Friday, December 18, 2015 and will run until April 4, 2016. The Girl Scout Cookie® program teaches girls the five skills needed in both life and business: goal setting, decision making, money management, business ethics, and people skills. This is the second year of Digital Cookie, the first national digital platform that allows girls to sell cookies online and learn 21st-century business skills, in addition to the continued tradition of taking paper orders.
