Hot Chocolate Run Set for Saturday
Seaford Wellness Council fundraising event will start at 9 a.m. in front of Seaford High School.

The eighth annual Seaford Wellness Council Hot Chocolate 5K Run/Walk is set for this Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
The run/walk will commence just south of on Seamans Neck Road. Last year almost 1,000 people , which is the Seaford Wellness Council’s primary fundraiser.
Post-race hot chocolate and bagels will be available in the high school cafeteria. The awards ceremony and raffle drawings will take place in the high school’s refurbished Manso Auditorium at approximately 10:30 a.m.
"This run/walk has become one of the South Shore’s premier events drawing runners from across Long Island," said Seaford Wellness Council president Mike DiSilvio. "We are particularly pleased with the number of individuals and families that participate in the walk portion of the event as it promotes good community fitness.”
The Honorary Run/Walk Co-Starters of the event are Marilyn Griffin, who retired this year as the Director of the and Sergio DeCiantis, the proprietor of Cara Mia Due and the current Small Business Person of the Year.
Applications for the Run/Walk are available on-line at the Seaford Wellness Council website until Thursday at 9 p.m. Registration will also be available in the Manso Auditorium, located in the front lobby area of Seaford High School on Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. and from 7-8:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
"This is a fantastic community event and is a great deal of fun," said Seaford Wellness Council Ken Nersesian. "All are most welcome.”
