ICYMI: Wantagh Allstate Agent Earns $1,000 Donation to Cancer Scholarship Fund

Christina Shaw and her team earned a donation to the Susan Satriano Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

Allstate agency owner Christina Shaw along with her team, including Sandy Macgilvray and Dana Jarry, received the Agency Helping Hands in the Community Award for their commitment to helping others. This award earned the Susan Satriano Memorial Scholarship Foundation, where Shaw volunteers, a $1,000 grant from The Allstate Foundation.

“The Susan Satriano Memorial Scholarship Foundation truly makes a difference in the Long Island community,” Shaw said. “These grant funds will help this foundation continue to improve the lives of many people in the surrounding area. I am inspired by the work that they have accomplished and I am proud to be a part of their efforts.”

The Susan Satriano Memorial Scholarship Foundation was created by Joe Satriano, an Oceanside resident, in memory of his wife, who died of cancer. Each year, the foundation gives out thousands of dollars in scholarships to children whose parents are currently fighting, or have fought, cancer. The scholarship has never turned anyone down.
