Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Our staff offers a wide range of social and employment services, including: • Development of a personalized self-sufficiency plan • Case management and referrals • Employment services, job search skills, and work experience opportunities • Outreach and community support • Social and cultural adjustment assistance • English language support • Help with school, benefits, and local resource navigation • Transitional services and employment retention support We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. WANTAGH, NY - A Brooklyn man was caught with nearly 400 bags of heroin after he tried to sell drugs to an undercover cop in Wantagh Saturday night, police said.According to Nassau Police, members of the Nassau/Suffolk Heroin Task Force, after conducting an operation involving the sale of heroin, arraigned a meeting with 30-year-old Jason Perez to purchase 400 bags of heroin from him. After Perez arrived at a prearranged location in Wantagh, he attempted to sell bags of heroin to an undercover detective, police said. Perez was arrested without incident and he was found to be in possession of 390 bags of heroin, police said. Perez is charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday and is being held on $50,000 bail. He is due back in court on Thursday.
