Nassau Contractor Used Client's Money To Make Purchases: Police
Police say he was supposed to only buy materials for the job, but used the credit card for personal expenses, too.

New York State police arrested a contractor from Seaford on Friday after they say he used a client's credit card to make nearly $1,500 in unauthorized purchases.
According to police, in September, Michael C. Flood, 57, entered into a contract with an 81-year-old woman, also from Seaford, to do carpentry work at her home. Police say the woman gave Flood her American Express card to cover the cost of purchasing materials for the job. However, police say that, in addition to the work materials, Flood used the card to purchase food and beverages totaling $1,447.95, which were not authorized by the woman.
Flood was arrested by police on Friday and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.
