Nassau Police Intensifying Patrols After 5 Killed in Washington Mall Shooting
BREAKING: There are no known imminent threats to Nassau County following a deadly shooting at a Seattle-area mall Friday, authorities say.

Nassau County Police say they will intensify patrols in all areas of mass transit and critical infrastructure, and will increase patrols at significant public events following a shooting Friday evening at a Washington State mall that left five dead.
"Although there are no known imminent threats to Nassau County, police are monitoring all past and present attacks along with federal, state, and local authorities," Nassau officials said in a statement Saturday morning.
Five people were killed in a shooting at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, about 60 miles north of Seattle, around 7 p.m. Friday and an active search is on for the shooter.

Nassau Police are reminding the public to report any suspicious activity or items/packages by dialing 911 immediately. Suspicious social media activity can also be reported through Text-a-Tip via the Nassau County Crime Stoppers app available free for smartphones and tablets.
