Nassau Police Searching For Man Who Robbed Bank In Broad Daylight

Police say the man robbed a bank inside a supermarket, and then fled with the cash.

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Seaford Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the man entered the Roslyn Savings Bank, located inside the Stop and Shop at 4055 Merrick Road, at 12:28 p.m. He approached one of the tellers and passed them a note demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

There were three employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was hurt.

Police say the robber was in his 30s, wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt, a dark jacket and sunglasses.
