The beat Wantagh, 5-1, on its home field Wednesday afternoon. Wantagh's head coach Tom Ligouri said New Hyde Park really scored all the goals in this game as Wantagh's goal was registered by the ball basically being fumbled in.

Heroes: Billy Stevens scored three of the team's five goals and was always on top of the ball. Gianpaolo Lisena also scored a goal and made some key moves to keep New Hyde Park in possession of the ball.

Wantagh goalie Kevin Laibach made five saves for the Warriors.

Turning Point: New Hyde Park was up the whole game. Wantagh's goal was scored about 30 seconds after New Hyde Park's first goal, but subsequently New Hyde Park kept adding points.

Ligouri said New Hyde Park was playing a direct style compared to Wantagh's possession way of playing, which had the Warriors "on its heels."
