Nikon No More -- Northwell Health Secures Naming Rights to Jones Beach Amphitheater

The 65-year-old Jones Beach theater has a new sponsor: Northwell Health.

The healthcare company, which manages 21 different hospitals in New York, has secured the naming rights to the 14,000-seat theater, which was previously the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater.

“Jones Beach Theater is a Long Island landmark and an iconic entertainment venue that has been offering music lovers a premier New York experience for generations, while Northwell Health is a highly respected, clinical, academic and research institution with deep roots across Long Island,” said Ramon Soto, senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at Northwell Health. “This partnership provides us with a unique opportunity to not only showcase the Northwell brand, but also celebrate the intersection of life and health at a destination that draws hundreds of thousands of concertgoers annually, furthering our mission of improving the health of the communities we serve across Long Island and the entire New York area.”

The new naming takes effect immediately. Northwell signed the deal with LiveNation, the ticketing giant, which manages the Jones Beach theater.
