A few weeks ago I received a letter from Empire Healthy NY that my health plan would be terminated as of 12/31/13. As I see it, I will be paying much more for new Insurance according to my letter. Depending on what plan I can afford I will have the options of paying anywhere from 10% to 60% for doctor visits. For me this a major problem, I have cancer and go for treatments 1x a month they cost over $7000 each month. That does not include doctor visits or any tests. I don't know how I am going to be able to afford anywhere from $700 - $2000 a month for my treatments. There is a hotline that is open 24 hours but they have no information as of yet. So why is our tax payer money being wasted on this hotline? No one has an answer. I have spoken to many Senators the only thing to stop this from happening is to get our Senators not to fund Obama Care. Obama Care is already affecting many people, companies that did not have deductibles now have $5000 deductibles with higher co-payments. As of now I pay$1400 a month for a family plan with no deductible and $20 Co-payments. I also found out that they are considering not having family plans, we will have to buy individual plans and add our children on as a rider. This is one train wreck waiting to happen.
