Police: Queens Man Charged With Felony DWI After Hit-and-Run

Man drove drunk, rear ended a car on the Meadowbrook Parkway and left the scene, cops said.

A Queens man slammed into another car and drove away while drunk at the wheel, according to New York State Police.

Valley Stream troopers were dispatched to the Meadowbrook State Parkway near Ocean Parkway at 7:21 p.m. Friday, police said. Responding officers found a Toyota Yaris sitting in the shoulder of the highway with rear damage, cops said. The victim claimed a white Toyota had struck him and driven away, cops said.

Troopers found the Toyota a few miles north of the accident scene and charged Marcin Grajdek, 25, of Forest Hills, with leaving the scene of an accident.

Grajdek had a .15 blood alcohol content at the time and was also charged with felony driving while intoxicated, owing to prior DWI charges on his record in the last 10 years, cops said.
