Seaford Kiwanis Group Seeks Peanut Butter, Pet Food Donations

Bring your non-perishable food items to donate to Long Island Cares on Sunday.

SEAFORD, NY — The Seaford Kiwanis Club wants your canned food, peanut butter, jelly and more to combat hunger on Long Island. The club is holding a food drive Sunday at Seamans Neck Park. The drive begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m., coinciding with Bronco Day.

"We need to do all we can to help," a flyer for the event said.

About 316,000 Long Islanders are hungry, the flyer said. More than 89,000 are kids.
