Seaford Man Driving With Cup Of Vodka, Heroin In Car: Police
The 58-year-old was arrested for driving drunk and high on Monday night, police say.

SOUTH FARMINGDALE, NY - A Seaford man was arrested after he was caught driving with heroin and a cup half-filled with vodka in South Farmingdale Monday night, according to Nassau Police. Officers on routine patrol saw a 2014 grey Jeep make a left turn onto Merrits Road at about 10:30 p.m.
While driving southbound on Merrits Road, the car failed to maintain a lane of traffic and drove over the white pavement markings and officers conducted a vehicle traffic stop, police said.

The driver, identified as 58-year-old Thomas Mancinelli, had slurred speech, glassy and bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol on his breath. He was then placed under arrest.
After his arrest, a hypodermic syringe and a silver spoon containing a melted blue powdery substance believed to be heroin was found inside the car, and a red cup half-full of a beverage believed to be vodka was found in the center console cup holder.

Mancinelli was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, DWAI combined drugs/alcohol and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
