Seaford Wrestling Climbs to Top of Conference Standings
Vikings post dominant home win over Island Trees.
The Seaford High School wrestling team moved to the top of the Conference 4A standings with a dominant home win over Island Trees Friday night.
The 42-29 win over the Bulldogs created a three-way tie in Conference 4A between Seaford, Island Trees and Clarke, which had defeated the Vikings on Jan. 8.
"Seaford is a well coached, competitive team," said Island Trees wrestling head coach Damian Garcia. "They were just the better team... I think our kids really put out a tremendous effort, we just came up a bit short."
