Spectators Ready For Weekend St. Patrick's Day Parade
Check out road closures for the March 20 parade in Wantagh.
WANTAGH, NY — The Wantagh St. Patrick's Day Parade is set to step off on March 20 at Wantagh High School.
The second annual parade will turn on Beltagh Avenue and Wantagh Avenue, ending at Railroad Avenue where a block party is planned.
Nassau police commissioner Patrick Ryder is this year's Grand Marshal.

The parade is scheduled from 2-4 p.m., while the block party could run from 4-8 p.m, police said.
Railroad Avenue, Wantagh Avenue and Brooklyn Ave will both be closed from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm.

Police will also not permit parking in the Town of Hempstead municipal lots-- WA-2 and WA-4 --during the event.
There is restricted parking in place on the day of the parade:
- Street parking will not be permitted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Beltagh Avenue from Wantagh Avenue to the dead-end in front of the school
- No parking from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wantagh Avenue between Sunrise Highway and Beltagh Avenue.
