Suspicious Driver Talks To Children In Seaford: Superintendent

The schools superintendent sent out a note to the community.

SEAFORD, NY — A suspicious man in a truck who pulled up and spoke to children on Friday and Saturday led to a message from Seaford schools Superintendent Adele Pecora to the district community on Sunday.

Both encounters happened in the late afternoon on Spruce Street south of Merrick Road to children who were near their homes.

A man in his 30s driving a dark pickup truck and playing loud music spoke to them "and only drove off when parents/adults began to approach," she said. She said a police report was taken for each incident.
