Town of Hempstead Opens Heating Centers For Cold Front
Temperatures are expected to plummet this week. Make sure you and your loved ones are warm.

With temperatures expected to plummet the rest of the week, the Town of Hempstead announced that it will be opening 15 warming centers Thursday and Friday.
“I invite neighbors who don’t have enough heat to warm up at one of the town’s 15 warming centers,” said Supervisor Anthony Santino. “Freezing temperatures can be dangerous for everyone, especially seniors, who may have a hard time regulating their body temperature and staying warm.”
The following locations will be open as warming centers from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Thursday and Friday (unless noted):
