Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. WANTAGH, NY- Police are investigating an attempted bank robbery that occurred in Wantagh on Wednesday afternoon. According to Robbery Squad detectives, a man entered into the TD Bank located at 3222 Sunrise Highway around 2:15 p.m. with a long-bladed knife with a black handle that was visible in a bag. After he was approached by the bank manager, the man fled with the knife and left the bag behind, police said. He was seen entering a newer white Ford Explorer with its plates covered with yellow paper traveling south on Wantagh Avenue. The man is described as white, 6-feet tall, in his late 20s, with a thin build and brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket, gray sweat pants, white sneakers and a ski mask.Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
