Electrical Problem Led To Wantagh House Fire
The sole occupant of the house made it out safely, officials said.

UPDATE: No one was seriously injured during the fire on Twin Lane, officials said Tuesday.
The sole occupant of the house, a man, made it out safely after trying to fight the fire himself with an extinguisher. By the time the Wantagh Fire Department was on the scene, there was heavy fire coming out of most of the windows.
The occupant suffered minor smoke inhalation and was taken by ambulance to Nassau University Medical Center.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal is investigating the fire. But as of Tuesday morning, Assistant Chief Michael Uttaro said that the most likely cause was an electrical malfunction. He said the fire has been deemed non-suspicious.

The fire broke out at a home before 9 p.m. Monday. It's unclear at this time if anyone was in the home or if there were any injuries.
The Levittown Fire Department also responded to the scene.
