Wantagh Fire Department Battles Large House Fire
The house had extensive damage. Thankfully, no one was injured in the early morning blaze.

The Wantagh Fire Department tackled a heavy house fire on Morgan Drive Monday morning.
According to the WFD, the call came in at 6:37 a.m. for a fire at 2857 Morgan Drive. The situation was complicated by downed power lines at the scene.
Trucks from the Levittown and Bethpage fire departments also responded to the blaze. There were approximately 75 firefighters and medics on the scene. Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour, and spent another hour making sure it didn't flare up again.

The fire caused exstensive damage to the home, and the cause is still under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal. Thankfully, no one was injured.
