State Trooper Rescues Cat from Wantagh House Fire
He saw the smoke from the Wantagh Parkway.

UPDATE: A State Trooper rescued a cat from a house fire in Wantagh Thursday afternoon.
According to Newsday, the trooper was assisting another trooper with a traffic stop on the Wantagh Parkway when he saw the smoke from the house fire. He went over and kicked in the door to see if anyone was home, and found the cat.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fire fighters from Wantagh and Seaford are currently battling a blaze in western Wantagh.
A two-story home, located on Waterbury Drive, is on fire, damaging much of the rear of the house.
