Wantagh HS Science Olympiad Team Excels
Young scientific finish in 10th place at Capital Region Invitational.

Members of the Science Olympiad team traveled to Ravena, N.Y. in early January for the Capital Region Invitational.
The invitational provided the students with the opportunity to test their skills against some of the best schools from the Capital Region and prepare for the Western Regionals, which will be held at Uniondale’s Kellenberg Memorial High School in February. Overall the team placed 10th out of the 24 schools in attendance, with individual students earning top honors in the following events:
1st Place Microbe Mission: Kenny Peluso and Lindsey Stevens

3rd Place Fermi Questions: Dan Charytonowicz and Peter Mountanos
