3 Shot, 1 Slashed In Washington Heights, Police Say

No arrests have been made yet, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Three people were shot, and one person was slashed on Thursday evening in Washington Heights, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the chaotic scene unfolded at the corner of West 162nd Street and Fort Washington Avenue just before 8 p.m.

At the scene, an 18-year-old girl was shot in the leg, an 18-year-old boy was slashed in the neck, a 20-year-old man was shot in the leg, and another man was shot in the foot.

Medics took the 20-year-old to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition, and took the man who was shot in the foot to NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center in stable condition.

Both 18-year-olds were taken to NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center by private means in stable condition.

Police said that the gunfire broke out after an argument on the street, and that no arrests have been made yet.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
