Alleged Gunman Charged With Attempted Murder After Shooting That Injured 4: Report

A man who allegedly shot four people outside a bar before a police officer shot him has been charged with attempted murder, the report said.

INWOOD, NY— Police said a man who allegedly shot four people outside a bar before a police officer shot him has been charged with attempted murder, according to a report.

Ismuel Alcantara, 25, also faces charges of assault and gun possession, The New York Daily News reports.

Police seized a "ghost gun" at the scene, according to the Daily News. "Ghost guns" are firearms that can be assembled at home, and often do not have a serial number.

Just after 4 a.m. Monday, police were patrolling 10th Avenue and saw a group of men arguing outside 11:11 Restaurant and Lounge. NYPD Chief of Patrol Juanita Holmes said the bar's security officers were de-escalating the argument. Police said the group walked south towards 211th Street, and officers heard gunshots. The officers took cover and shot back, hitting Alcantara.

Four other people were injured, and all are expected to survive.
