On May 12, the nursing staff at Triboro Center on Teller Avenue in the Bronx had fun celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week 2022 while at the same time, recognizing the importance child and young adult education in the Bronx. Additionally, the facility had their Nursing Home Week "Back to School" themed staff party to show appreciation to their staff and all staff received a backpack as a gift from the facility’s corporate company, Centers Health Care.

Later on during the day, the 405-bed skilled nursing facility also did a raffle giveaway of 18 prizes, including two flat screen TVs. Plus, what’s better than ice cream as an appreciation to the nurse on a beautiful spring afternoon.

“Not only was this a great time to recognize National Nursing Care Week, but with our theme was also to show the importance we feel about education in our Bronx community,” said Rose Ferreira, the facility’s and Co-Corporate Director of Recreation. “Thank you Triboro staff for keeping the engine running to serve our residents.”
