Body Pulled From Hudson River Near Inwood's La Marina, Police Say

A person was pulled from the Hudson River in Inwood Thursday afternoon and declared dead, police told Patch.

INWOOD, NY — A man's body was pulled from the Hudson River Thursday afternoon from waters near Inwood restaurant La Marina, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

The man's body was discovered in the Hudson River near Dyckman Street shortly after 12 p.m. and pulled ashore by the NYPD harbor unit, police told Patch. EMS pronounced the man dead when his body was taken onto a pier at La Marina, police said.

The city Medical Examiner will investigate the man's exact cause of death, police said.
