Jazz Power Initiative (JPI) is kicking off the new year with inspiring programming and a year full of creativity, community and music for all ages. Join JPI on Monday, January 19th for a joyful birthday celebration honoring Dr. King’s legacy of sharing, caring, joy and, peace. This special afternoon will come alive with uplifting jazz, interactive experiences for families, and powerful musical performances. Beginning at 2:00 pm Jazz Power Initiatie has created an exceptional program featuring activities and music for the entire family, with performances by Argentinian singer Sofia Tosello and her Trio, as well as an appearance by rising star, jazz pianist Maki Nientao and his Trio, and featuring The Antoinette Montague Experience led my Newark's own, the legendary jazz singer Antoinette Montague. Also joining the festivities - Crudo Creates, creators of unique jewelry made from repurposed everyday items.
