WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Cops are searching for a man they say is connected to the murder of Emmanuel Santana, who was found fatally stabbed outside a Washington Heights apartmentbuilding on Tuesday.

Police released the name and photo Thursday of Miguel Villar, 29, saying they are looking to question him about the homicide.

Emmanuel Santana, 30, was found with multiple stab wounds to his neck and torso in front of 601 West 189th St. just after 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, police said. Emergency responders rushed Santana to the hospital, but he was pronounced deceased.

Santana lived in Passaic, N.J., records show.

Police described Villar as standing approximately 5'11" tall and weighing about 170 pounds. They did not specify how they believe he is connected to the murder.
