INWOOD, NY — A badly decomposed body was found floating near the Dyckman Marina on Wednesday, officials said.

The man's body was found floating in the Hudson River around 1:30 p.m. and was taken out by the NYPD's Harbor Unit, police said.

The body was first spotted by a man who was taking photos near the Dyckman Marina and called 911, according to video the witness posted on Citizen App.

Emergency responders first were called to 370 Dyckman St. on a drowning call, but officers pronounced the man dead on the scene, NYPD and FDNY spokespeople said.

The man's body was badly decomposed and had no identification, the NYPD spokesperson said. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
