Food Pantries Available In Washington Heights Friday, Monday
Tacos El Paisa restaurant, Good Shepard Church and Alianza Dominicana Cultural Center will all have food giveaways the next few days.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Three food pantries will give out meals in Washington Heights the next few days.
Catholic Charities Alianza Youth Services Division, which has beengiving out bags of food as one of its services during the coronavirus pandemic, has set up two more food pantries in Washington Heights for Friday and Monday.
Monday's pantry will be for families of the George Washington Health Science And Careers High School, one of the schools Alianza works with, while the Friday pantry will be open to the public.

A restaurant owner working with charter school network KIPP has also set up a food pantry for families from KIPP's network of schools. The Friday pantry will include meal kits with a week's worth of meals to cook at home.

- KIPP food pantry
- When: 8:45 to 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29
- Where: El Paisa Tacos, 1548 St. Nicholas Ave.
- Who: Bianca Serrano, owner of El Paisa, KIPP students and families, KIPP staff
- Alianza food pantry
- When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 29
- Where: Good Shepard Church, 608 Isham St.
- Who: Congressman Adriano Espaillat, NYS Assemblywoman Carmen DelaRosa, and City Council member Ydanis Rodriguez will be on-site.
- What: 500 FreshDirect boxes will be distributed.
- Alianza food pantry
- When: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 1
- Where: Alianza Dominicana Cultural Center, 530 West 166 St.
- Who: For families of George Washington Health Science & Careers High School only
- What: 800 bags of food will be distributed.
