Inwood Film Festival Returns For Second Year

The festival will feature films that were shot in Inwood or created by members of the Inwood community.

INWOOD, NY — The Inwood Film Festival is returning to the neighborhood for its second consecutive year of featuring films either shot in Inwood or created by Inwood community members. The festival will be held in March and feature five types of films: short shorts, long shorts, feature films, student films and documentaries.

"The focus of the Inwood Film Festival is to celebrate and showcase the Inwood community through the moving image. It is created to be a homegrown community platform to promote and celebrate the neighborhood of Inwood and its residents," read a press release from Inwood Art Works, the organization which puts on the festival.

Selected films will be shown on March 17 and 18 at the Campbell Sports Center at Broadway and West 218th Street. There will be six viewing sessions — four screenings showing each film category and two feature film screenings.
