Man Slashed In Face Waiting For Train In Washington Heights: NYPD
A man was slashed in the face for no apparent reason Tuesday night while waiting for the 1 train at 168th Street, police said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man was slashed in the face in an unprovoked attack while waiting for a train in Washington Heights on Tuesday evening, a New York Police Department spokesperson told Patch.
The 27-year-old man was standing on the platform waiting for a No. 1 train at the West 168th Street station around 6:30 p.m., when a man charged him for no apparent reason and slashed him in the face, police said.
The man was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem for the cut and is expected to survive, police said.

There has been no arrest, but the suspect is believed to be around 30 years old and was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and a gray shirt, police said.
