Motorcyclist Dies In Crash On Inwood Bridge, Police Say
A motorcycle crashed into a sedan on the University Heights Bridge near Ninth Avenue in Inwood.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man died after crashing his motorcycle into a car on an Inwood bridge, police told Patch.
Alejandro Tejada was driving a motorcycle on the University Heights Bridge early Saturday morning when he crashed head-on with a 2011 Toyota sedan, police said. Tejada, a 30-year-old resident of Yonkers, was ejected from his bike during the crash and suffered trauma to the head and torso, police said.
After being taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, Tejada succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, police said. The driver and passenger of the 2011 Toyota were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police told Patch.

Investigators from the NYPD collision investigation squad said that Tejada was traveling east on the University Heights Bridge shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday when he crossed into a westbound traffic lane and collided with the sedan.
