Police Look For Trio Who Shot And Robbed Man In Inwood: NYPD

A man got shot twice in Inwood during an attempted robbery, according to police.

INWOOD, NY — Police are looking for a shooter who was part of a trio that shot and tried to rob a man in Inwood, according to the NYPD.

The incident took place on Oct. 21 at 9:17 p.m. near 4996 Broadway in the uptown Manhattan neighborhood, police said.

Three men approached the victim and attempted to rob him. Two of the men flashed handguns, while the other man served as a lookout, according to police.

After the man refused to give over his belongings he was shot in his left hand and left leg, the three men then fled towards 10th Avenue, police said.

The trio jumped into a black Nissan Maxima, which already had an individual in the driver's seat ready to speed away.

The injured man got transported to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in stable condition.

Police released a photo of one of the three men on Monday.
