The pool had become a popular neighborhood destination as scorching temperatures enveloped the city in July. The owner of the pool, however, was told to disassemble the urban oasis by the New York Police Department.

The NYPD never specified to Patch the exact reason for the order to disassemble, but the city has various laws related to the obstruction of sidewalks and streets.

While there is no confirmation that the pool in Wednesday's video on 176th Street and Audubon Avenue was the same one that sat on 171 Audubon Avenue. The similarities clearly exist.
