Wash Heights Man Charged 4 Years After Neighborhood Killing: NYPD
A Washington Heights resident was arrested Monday in connection to the death of a 31-year-old man in the neighborhood in 2016, police said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A Washington Heights resident was arrested and charged with murder on Monday in connection to a 2016 shooting that took place in Upper Manhattan.
Argelos Salcedo, 33-years-old, who lives near 159 Harlem River Drive, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the 2016 attack, according to police.
On Sept. 4, 2016, Bronx resident Lester Mcleod, 31, was shot in the chest and killed outside the Associated Supermarket at 159-04 Harlem River Drive in Washington Heights, police said.

The supermarket is just a few blocks from Salcedo's home.
NYPD did not specify what breakthrough was made to make an arrest in the four-year-old crime.
