Woman Found Dead In Waters Near Inwood Hill Park, Police Say

The woman was not suffering any visible signs of trauma, police told Patch.

INWOOD, NY — A woman's body was pulled from the water Monday afternoon near Inwood Hill Park, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

Police responded to a call of a body in the water in the vicinity of West 218th Street shortly before 3 p.m. and found the woman unconscious and unresponsive, an NYPD spokesman said. The woman, who is believed to be in her 30s but has not been identified, was brought to shore where EMS pronounced her dead, police told Patch.

The woman was not suffering from any visible signs of trauma, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
