• Mary Linda Embser Lewis, Salem, formerly of Wellsville (hornellsun.com) — Wellsville residents are invited to honor Mary Linda Embser Lewis, a Wellsville native and Immaculate Conception School alum whose funeral, calling hours, and burial will be held in town May 15–16. Her life took her from Alfred University to Washington, Houston, Europe, and Asia, but she maintained deep family and community ties to Wellsville and upstate New York.
   

• F. Burke Voit, 90, Wellsville (wellsvillesun.com) — Wellsville is mourning the passing of F. Burke Voit, 90, a longtime resident, Army veteran, and retired Alfred State College English professor. A former member of the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps, he will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville, with services held privately and memorials suggested to Doctors Without Borders.
   

• Nancy Adair Vaughan, formerly of Bath NY (wellsvillesun.com) — Wellsville readers may remember Nancy Adair Vaughan, who was born here in 1939 and went on to a long career in education and civic life in Bath and Steuben County. The 87-year-old former administrator and Democratic leader died March 2 in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, and friends are invited to calling hours and a graveside service in nearby Genesee on Sunday, May 17.
