Celebrate The Premiere Of A New NYC Web Series In Meatpacking District
Check out the impressive cast list of Rachel Unraveled, a new web series created by two Fordham sophomores.
MEATPACKING DISTRICT, NY — Rachel Unraveled is a new musical comedy web series written by two impressive 20-year-olds streaming for the first time Jan. 27. To celebrate, Allouche Gallery is holding a premiere party 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the party will kick off with a screening of the first episode at 7:30 p.m. Black tie is suggested and a "blonde wig is optional", according to the event Facebook page.

The web series, created by 20-year-olds Rachel Ravel and Austin Spero, follows a young actress who moves to NYC. It's a satirical look into the lives of a young, hopeful performer trying to make it big in the Big Apple.

"With the help of her best friend, 15-year-old arch nemesis, telepathic dog, and the homeless man who composes her audition songs, Rachel learns the true meaning of friendship, success, and what it takes to shine," the show's website says.

Rachel and Spero are only in their sophomore year at Fordham, but the show has quite the cast. Hamilton star Jon Rua plays the role of the homeless man Gus; William Youmans of Birdman and the original Broadway cast of "Wicked" plays Rachel's dad; and Maria-Christina Oliveras from the original Broadway cast of "Amélie" plays a struggling casting director, according to Broadway World.

No tickets are required for the premiere. Allouche Gallery is located at 82 Gansevoort St.
