Spitting Mad E-Biker Smashes Man's Hand With Lock In Union Square
The furious cyclist swung the lock at the pedestrian after yelling that he'd cut him off, police said.

UNION SQUARE, NY — A furious e-biker chased down a pedestrian in a Union Square crosswalk and smashed his hand with a lock after yelling that he'd cut him off, police said.
The victim was crossing the street at the corner of East 14th Street and Fourth Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Dec. 7 when the cyclist shouted "Why did you cut me off?," spat in his face and swung the metal U-lock, cops said.
The victim, 29, suffered a shattered hand and wrist and was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.

The cyclist abandoned his bike and ran away, police said.
The cyclist was described as about 30-years-old, approximately 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds with a slim build, mustache and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a gray knit cap, a blue jogging jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
