Fire Breaks Out In 3-Story Greenwich Village Building: Officials
Two firefighters sustained minor injuries as they got the flames under control Saturday morning, officials said.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — Two firefighters sustained minor injuries after a blaze broke out in a Christopher Street building Saturday morning, officials said.
According to the New York City Fire Department, a call came in at 6:57 a.m. about a fire on the second floor of the vacant, three-story building near Waverly Place.
The fire was under control by 7:26 a.m. with the two firefighters taken to Lenox Hill Greenwich Village, a division of Lenox Hill Hospital, for treatment of "minor injuries," the NYCFD said.
