Jefferson Market Library To Close For Renovations In April
The Department of Design and Construction is upgrading the library to be fully accessible.

WEST VILLAGE, NY —The Jefferson Market Library in the West Village is expected to close for renovations on April 1.
The more than two year project will involve asbestos abatement at the facility and accessibility improvements with elevator upgrades, an ADA ramp at the library's entrance, among other upgrades.
"Certainly, the ADA access is going to be vastly improved," said Robin Rothstein, chair of Community Board 2's Arts & Institutions committee, which heard the Department of Design and Construction project details on Tuesday.
