Man Attacked With BB Gun In Would-Be Manhattan Carjacking: Cops
A man was sent to the hospital after someone trying to steal his car in the Village beat him with what appeared to be a BB gun, cops said.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — A man parking his car in Greenwich Village was attacked with a BB gun by someone trying to steal it, police said.
The 39-year-old man was parked in front of 469 Avenue of the Americas the afternoon of June 3 when the would-be carjacker came up and demanded he get out of the car, police said.
The attacker then opened the man's driver side door, grabbed him by his sweater and began whacking him with what appeared to be a BB gun, police said.

The victim was hit multiple times in the face, on his shoulder and on his hand before the attacker ran away, police said.
Emergency responders took the man to the hospital in stable condition.

Police released photos of the suspect taken from surveillance video.
