Man Groped A Woman And Punched Her In The Face, Police Say
A man groped a woman and punched her in the face in a West Village residential building, police said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police are searching for a man who groped a woman and punched her in the face last Sunday morning.
About 4:30 a.m. on March 10, the harasser grabbed a 20-year-old woman in her private areas on the staircase of a residential building near Grove and Bleecker Sts., police said.
Police said the woman screamed for help. But the man then punched her in the face, shoved her against the wall and continued groping her, police said.

He fled the building, according to police.
Police said the woman was treated at a hospital for bruises on her face.

The man was approximately 5-foot 11 or 6-feet tall and last seen in a dark-colored hooded coat and dark-colored sneakers.
