NYPD Still Looking For West Village Sex Assault Suspect

The woman was attacked on Oct. 11 from behind near Barrow Street in Greenwich Village, according to police.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police have once again released information about a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault that took place in the West Village in early October.

A woman was pushed to the ground, threatened with a gun, and sexually assaulted in the early morning hours of Oct. 11, according to police. On Tuesday, the NYPD released for the second time information and a picture of the man wanted in connection to the attack.

The attack happened in the area of Barrow and Greenwich Streets, police said.

The woman was attacked from behind by a man who told her he had a gun before sexually assaulting her, police said. He then ran away up Barrow Street.

The woman was taken to Beth Israel Hospital for evaluation.
