West Village Store Robbed By Gun Toting Man: Police

A robber used a gun to take roughly $800 from a small business in the West Village, according to police.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Police are looking for a man accused of using a gun to stick up a West Village store for hundreds of dollars.

The incident took place Tuesday night when two men entered the Eighth Street Gift Store at 46 West 8th Street, according to police.

One of the men pulled out a black gun and demanded money from an employee working behind the counter, police said.

The employee handed over a leather bag holding roughly $800, according to police. The two men then took off westbound on West 8th Street.

Police released photos of the two suspects on Friday.
