Woman Found Dead In 14th Street Apartment Building: Police

The woman was found this morning inside the building's courtyard, according to police.

CHELSEA, NY — A woman was found dead in the courtyard of a Seventh Avenue building this morning, police said.

Officials said they received emergency calls reporting an unconscious woman inside the courtyard of a large apartment building on the southeast corner of Seventh Avenue and 14th Street at at around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

First responders soon declared the unidentified woman dead at the scene.

Police would not confirm any further details about the incident, citing the ongoing investigation, and said that it was still unclear how the woman died.
